Rachel Carroll

Rachel Carroll is an Australian born, Sydney based artist who creates large and layered artworks about the landscape, our natural environment and our native plants and animals. It is often an experience of a location that is translated with expressionistic marks as a response to how a location is surviving. The Murray Darling River System and the Daintree Rainforest has been her artistic focus for the last 13 years. Traveling to numerous locations to meet scientists and indigenous in each region which helps Rachel better understand the environment and how is it surviving.

Rachel Carroll has a 20-year exhibiting history that includes exhibitions in Scotland and Australia. Rachel had a major Survey Exhibition in 2018 at Mary McKillop Museum in North Sydney.

Rachel holds an MFA from the UNSW, the College of Fine Arts. A member of the Royal Art Society, The Australian Watercolour Institute, and the Tree Veneration Society. Rachel was a finalist in the 2022 Gosford Art Prize. Rachel has work held in private collections in Australia, Japan, Scotland, New Zealand, and America.
