Royal Art Society of NSW
Ballot
This year the Royal Art Society Ballot Exhibition Fundraiser will be drawn on Sunday 17th August, 2008 so get in early and purchase your tickets. Art lovers, collectors and friends of the RAS eagerly await this exhibition each year - and this year will mark the 56th year of the Ballot.

How does it work? Members of the Society donate the paintings. The paintings are hung on the walls and a catalogue is produced. Tickets are sold for $300 each. Ticket holders come to the gallery during the viewing times and list their favourite paintings. On Sunday 17th August at 12 noon we draw the tickets one by one until all tickets are drawn. When your ticket number is drawn you say which painting you would like to have and the painting is taken off the wall and given to you. Every person purchasing a ticket will choose a painting.

There are always more paintings on the walls than tickets sold so everyone has a choice of paintings.
There is excitement in the air as 12 noon approaches on the day of the draw - the giant lolly jar circulates through the gallery rooms, a glass of bubbly relaxes the nerves and the fun begins - everyone takes home a painting of their choice. For added excitement there is an auction commencing at 3.30pm -please see below for details) **

Viewing Times: Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday 11am to 4pm - First viewing Friday 1ST August through to Saturday 16th August, 2008.
