My daughter Karen, who was doing a Fine Arts Degree first suggested I go to the Royal Art Society because it was a highly regarded community of artists in 2006. We had just completed a “Mum and Me” Exhibition at the Northbridge School of Visual Arts celebrating the unique relationship between mother and daughter.

I started working in ceramics on a grant from the Willoughby City Council of the Northbridge Area which grew into doing a Diploma in Visual Arts in all the mediums. When I joined the Royal Art Society I joined the Art School Director’s and Master Pastel Artist’s class with Greg Hansell. Under Greg’s expert guidance I developed a unique expertise in pastels including handmade earth pastels in their beautiful natural reds, oranges, yellows and greys that lends themselves so well to the Australian landscapes.

I was thrilled to be admitted as an Exhibiting Member in 2017. Art is a way of connecting with people and places for me. I am never happier when my art brings happiness to another person. I am an Exhibiting Member of the Australian Society of Marine Artists, Mosman Art Society and the Creative Doctors Group.
