Become A Member
Membership gives you the opportunity to socialise with other artists at Exhibition Openings and Member's only gatherings, attend classes and workshops at the RAS Art School and exhibit in numerous Member exhibitions (for Exhibiting Members) at the Lavender Bay Gallery.
Exhibiting Members are selected by the RAS council. To apply you will need to submit five paintings and one drawing for review at the next RAS council meeting.
Two types of Membership are available:
Social Members: can attend Exhibition openings and "art chats" at the Lavender Bay Gallery, receive the monthly RAS newsletter and attend classes and workshops at the RAS art school. This is a great starting membership to become involved in the RAS.
Exhibiting Members: can exhibit in all Member exhibitions at the Lavender Bay Gallery (around 8 per year), attend all Openings, receive the monthly newsletter, attend art classes, workshops, "art chats" and exclusive Member's only painting excursions and gatherings. There is also the opportunity for elevation to Associate and then Fellow.
