Peter Smeeth MBBS FRAS AWI

Born 1949,Griffith, NSW

• Studied Medicine, Sydney University 1966 - 1971
• General Practitioner, The Entrance, NSW 1974 - 2007
• Fulltime Artist 2008 - 

Contemporary and traditional Portrait, Still Life, Landscape & Figurative works in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel, ink and pencil are included in his repertoire as are sculptural works in plaster and bronze.

In painting his aim is to capture the light on subjects and also the space around them to make a two dimensional plane appear three dimensional and the subject real and alive. 

• He is an exhibiting Fellow of the Royal Art Society of NSW 
• Member of the Australian Watercolour Institute
• Member of Portrait Artists Australia
